To wrap up our travels for 2019, I put together a map that shows all our stops for the year.

The highlights of the year for us were:

  • Driving among the rocks at Monument Valley in Utah and Arizona
  • Boondocking in Flagstaff, Arizona several times and once with a trip to Grand Canyon National Park
  • Helping Bill move from Tustin, California to Prescott Valley, Arizona
  • Getting 930 watts of solar panels, 3 lithium batteries, and a 3000 watt inverter/converter installed on our trailer
  • Visiting Bryce Canyon National Park and finding a nice boondocking spot just outside the entrance
  • Volunteering at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta with Joie & Mike and Linda & Randy and meeting new friends
  • Visiting with Dorothy, Jerry, and Sadie at Cochiti Lake in New Mexico
  • Visiting Amarillo, Texas and re-connecting with my cousin, Rob & Cindy
  • Visiting the giant cross and Jesus crucifixtion statues in Groom, Texas
  • Re-visiting Wellington, Texas and talking with Carol who owns the antique store in town
  • Attending the Wichita Falls Air show at the Shepphard Air Force Base in Texas and seeing the Thunderbirds perform
  • Re-visiting Sam & Sarah's farm in Azle, Texas
  • Freezing our butts off at a Habitat for Humanity build in Fredericksburg, Texas
  • Visiting Big Bend National Park in Texas
  • A broken leaf spring on the trailer at the exit to Big Bend National Park and being towed 100 miles to Ft. Stockton, Texas
  • Re-visiting and catching up with Andy in La Mesa, New Mexico
  • Camp Hosting at Fiesta Grande RV Resort in Casa Grande, Arizona
  • A quick visit to La Mirada, California to see family and some friends for Christmas

I didn't feel like we went that far in our travels but we did manage to keep ourselves busy.  After this Coronavirus is past us, I hope we can venture out further and visit more states.  Stay tuned.....
