Vegas

Our original plan to spend the weekend at Lake Mead waterskiing fell through so we changed gears and added two more days to the beginning of our time in Las Vegas.  We stayed at the Sam’s Town KOA which is off The Strip.

We got set up and spent the rest of the day/evening doing more moving in type items to try and get more organized inside the trailer.

One day we took the free shuttle to Freemont Street.  There wasn’t much happening during the day so we got bored there and couldn’t wait for the shuttle to return and pick us up.

Neon signs not so exciting during the day!

Once we got back we went inside Sam’s Town and learned they do a water show in their atrium.  It was really nice and refreshing while we watched the show.

The next day we met up with an old work friend and his wife for breakfast.  Sushant and Rashmi  now live in Boston and were visiting Vegas with some of her family.  They stopped by to check out our RV.

Sushant and Rashmi previously bought us a retirement gift of a book with good restaurants to visit during our travels.

We picked a restaurant from the book and found a nice place to have breakfast.  It was great to spend time with them again and catch up.

They also bought us a trailer warming gift of champagne and chocolates.  Thanks Sushant and Rashmi!

Later that day we visited Al’s cousins who live in Henderson.  We had a real nice visit with them and they wanted to see our RV so they all came back with us to the campground to check it out.

Our last day in Vegas we ran errands and did laundry.  Then we took the shuttle to The Vegas Strip and walked around and met up with Rashmi (while Sushant slept).  They were staying at the Bellagio so we enjoyed the garden and water show with Rashmi before saying goodbye.
